Swim Level Prerequisites
Our Instructors and Lifeguards are trained and certified by the American Red Cross in:
- Water Safety Instruction
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
- First Aid
Lessons are offered for ages 6 months to teens, of all abilities. At the end of each session, all students will receive a certificate showing their progress.
Swim lessons will only be offered at Rowland High School. Due to construction, Nogales High School will not be available for Summer Swim 2024.

Lessons are Monday to Friday for 2 weeks, 30 minutes per day. Please arrive 15 minutes early on the first day of the session.
Please read the descriptions and prerequisite skills for each level. We advise you to register your child for the level that best matches their skill and ability. The Recreation Department will not guarantee class transfers if your child is registered for the incorrect level.

By registering for these classes, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the prerequisite skills for each level and have enrolled your child in the appropriate class.
