Infant & Preschool Aquatics
Children of preschool age are introduced to the water through this course. Parents participate in the water with their children. The class is taught by a Water Safety Instructor. Infants must be at least 6 months to 3 years of age. All children must wear their swim diapers.
Children will learn the following in this class:
- Comfortable in the water
- Able to kick 20 times with help from their parent
- Blow bubbles for 10 seconds

Primary Skills
This class is designed for children 3 to 5 years of age. Emphasis is placed on water adjustment and fundamental skills. Students will learn to kick and move their arms together.
Children will learn the following in this class:
- Put head underwater and blow bubbles for 5 seconds
- Pick up a toy from the bottom of the pool
- Float face down for 5 seconds
- Demonstrate the front glide for 2 body lengths
- Be able to float on their back for 5 seconds
- Jump in the pool without any help
- Discuss water safety rules
- Demonstrate how to get help

Primary Skills
The objective of this class is to teach students ages 5 and up, who may be a little timid about the water, but are more comfortable than the Tiny Tots Level. Students will be introduced to the front crawl, floating & fully submerging into the water.
Children will learn the following in this class:
- Jump into the deep water from the side
- Pick up a toy from the bottom of the pool 3 times
- Float on their back for 30 seconds in deep water
- Streamline off the wall for 2 body lengths in the superman position
- Float face down in deep water for 20 seconds
- Demonstrate each stroke for the following distances:
- Freestyle: 1 lap
- Monkey: 1/2 lap
- Airplane: 1/2 lap
- Rocket: 1/2 lap
- Breaststroke basics
- Discuss water safety rules
- Demonstrate how to get help
